New video project: Betheljahr participants introduce themselves
The Bethel Year has been running for 20 years. Generations of young men and women have served in many organisations. The participants themselves are just as diverse as their fields of work. The annual rotation is currently taking place again. That's why we took the camera to visit the young people who have almost completed their Voluntary Social Year and asked them how they got on at Bethel. The result is a short video series that will be shown on Bethel's social media channels - Instagram, YouTube and soon also Facebook.
"Every day is different, and that's what makes it so special," says Noah Casper. The 21-year-old works in the day-care programme at Haus Emmaus.
Charlotte Froneck is doing her voluntary social year in the asthma outpatient clinic, which is part of the Bethel Protestant Hospital. She has learnt a lot here - both medically and personally.
Julian Zink wants to study business informatics. After his A-levels, however, he will first do a Bethel year in a workshop for people with disabilities.

Bethel Volunteer Agency
The Bethel Year is an educational and orientation year for young adults aged 17 and over. Most of the placements are in our facilities and services in the social or health sector. Here, the participants assist, accompany, support or care for people who need help. In addition, the Bethel Year can also provide insights into administration, trades, housekeeping, public relations or cultural work - depending on the personal interests of the young people.
